stock convertor quest
anyone here got any 10 sec passes on a large shot 200+
with the stock convertor?
I just pulled my yank tp4000 and put the stock convertor back in"
it has been over a year" and man the f-ing car just flat hooks on the street,
and I have a 100hp dry I setup with edit tuning.
I was spraying a 175 shot on the yank but it was way too loose so now I
am going to setup a 2 stage 250, 100 in first then another 150 in second.
I hope I will see some 10s next year. might just go 150/150

I would put a window switch on there to make sure the bottle doesn't hit before 3000 rpm. That is going to be alot of strain on the motor with 200 worth of bottle against a stall below 3000rpm. JMO

I was just wondering if anyone has done it on a stock convertor.
A friend of mine has a 02 conv. stock manifolds cat back exh.
3.23s 3700# with him and has been 12.00s on a 100 shot
it can be done!!!!!!!!! but I will still be hunting for a good nitrous/turbo convertor, so if anyone wants a PT4000 yank let me know

stock tq converter, 3.23 gears, stock manifolds & cats, free mods, 125 dry shot, LCA's, 160 thermo, and weld prostars on nitto DR's. 01 Z with about 2k miles or less on odometer. 10's should be pretty easy if you can get raceweight down and keep from breaking anything, (trans, rear)

a friend of mine went a 11.50 in a 03 vette with a NX 100 shot no converter. I think all he had was a blackwing, not sure though. this was a NONE Z06 car of coarse.
