My TNT NITROUS Power Ring Moves around. PICS Inside.
C5 Vette LS1 Guy Here. Haven't sprayed in awhile and about to get my ride tuned and ready to spray again.
My TNT Power Ring is not tight around the TB. You can turn it from side to side. Here are a few pictures. I got this from a vendor that had one laying around a few years back.
I KNOW there is a screw that you can put in to help it stay put, but it seems it whould make it stick out and form a gap and NOT a tight fit. I(IN this older pic IT HAS THE MINI PLUG SCREW in there, but not anymore) Most have a Rubber O Ring that make it fit Tight. I am not sure if mine does as it is at the shop. I NEED TAT O-RING or something to make it TIGHT. Any ideas???
Will it make my car blow up if it can move around???
What would you guys do to make it tight??? Also I hate all the tubes all twisted around, maybe I just need to get sme better lengths of tube.

You should have the o-ring. Not only does it make the power ring fit tight but it also seals the connection so that you do not suck any un metered air after the mass air meter.
You can probably go by a hardward place like fastenal and let them measure the part for the proper O-Ring.

Loved my TNT kit back when I had it. You definitely need the O ring to seal and keep it in place. I remember with my brand new ring it was quite a booger to get it on but I new it was good and sealed and not going to ever move or leak.

The car isn't outside it is at the shop. I need to confirm the o ring is missing. When I first got it I rember it was HARD to get on. Now you can just twist from side to side with your hand so I need to check it out. I would assume it is missing that O-Ring. Has to be????
Maybe I can figure something out by finding one at a hardware store, or have them cut one. It is a certain size and a continuous circle, so I am not sure how that will work if I just get a black rubber section, but I will have to figure something out.
Does it have to be an O-Ring or is there SOME OTHER RUBBER RING/Piece I can put in the TNT Power ring, or maybe a Rubber Piece around the actual throttle body?? JUST TO SEAL IT?
It is Hard to find a replacement O Ring without having the stock one as a reference to measure against or to see what it looks like.
I will post some Pics

Thanks Joey, looks like they have a bunch of stuff. Thanks, never heard of them before. However, not sure of what size O ring is in the TNT Power ring, since mine MIGHT be missing. I assume it is missing since I could turn it from side to side. It's at the shop, but maybe I can measure it when i get it back and see what i can figure out.
I wish someone could pop theirs out, and measure it or something, but it might not just pop out. It might be glued in???

As I had wrote to you. On my old F1 kit I filed the barb edge of the throttle body smooth to allow for easier assembly/disassembly. My F1 ring would sometimes move a little (1/8 of a turn by forceful hand), so I just added and extra 2 set screws and the thiing was solid as a rock after that.

Joey,
Thanks for reminding me of the screw. AGAIN!! LOL I knew about that, but then was keying in on the Oring.
THAT should fix it just fine. I just thought that the scvrew might lift off the ring a bit from the TB and not make a super tight fit, but all I need is to add a few screws ingto the holes on the TNT Ring. Thanks. Again it is at the shop and haven't messed with it in awhile. Getting an oil leak fixed and then decided to get every thing working perfectr again while she's there.
