Default can i run a 75 shot with no tune?

i have an 04 gto with long tubes, no cats and a cold air intake. Im running it next month with a ton of mustang guys that want to rip my head off cuz im abiut done building my ls1 notch. My question, i have a complete nx wet kit in the garage for my ls1 notch.......that im thinking about installing it on my gto for that one track day. I did not get it tuned after the long tubes and mid, im still rockinn the factory tune. Will a 75 wet shot hurt anything? i just want to get every advantage a can!

Get something to pull timing, run colder ngk's, and some sort of controller like the microedge. There's so many choices you just gotta search around and buy what best suits you. Microedge and interface would be good for all that minus the plugs.

You really don't need a tune for your little nitrous hit.

Ive heard of people spraying a 100 shot with no timing pulled but I would rather be safe then sorry. Pick up a ligenfelter launch controller you can pull timing with that also.

Yep, you`ll be fine with a little 75 shot. Just run colder plugs and 93 oct.

You will be fine with absolutely nothing added. Just spray it and have some fun, if you just want to feel better throw in a BR6EF plug and go on about your day. Hell I sprayed a 100 shot on stock timing, 93 fuel, and iridium plugs lol. Now I spray a 150 shot on stock timing with a BR7EF plug.

75hp shot you should be ok. For the plugs i'd suggest getting BR6EF ( Stock# 3177 ) or a BR7EF ( Stock# 3346 ). The 7's will be a safer plug IMO.

I run a 100 shot with my BB tune for 93 octane N/A, I just run 110 race gas and have no issue. Run high octane fuel and you should have no issue at all.

there are lots of threads over this just use the search bar. People have used tr6s but after doing some reading you will find out that tr6s plugs are not a n20 plug

The BR6's are a non-projected tip plug where the TR6's are a projected tip plug.

Speaking of GTOs and nitrous, is their any way to hide a plate system on a GTO?

I bought my first LS1 when it had 118K miles and 1 week after buying it the tranny went so I had a 60K mile tranny put in and it was fine after that.

With those mods Im surprised its lasted you that long
Depending how long theyve been there, and how hard you drive the car. Most likely that trans isnt going to like another 100hp very much. Def make sure you pick up a window switch just incase the trans starts slipping.

OP, obviously dont listen to THIS guy because he is telling you to run a PROJECTED plug for a nitrous application.

Run BR6EF's for a 75-100 shot....anything 125+ shot, you want a BF7EF. These are non projected plugs. The BR6 Is one step colder, BR7's are two. Harris speed works has both in stock.

a few weeks ago I had my car dyno tuned for the bottle. I told my tuner, that once I got my fuel pump setup, I want to run a 150 shot. So, just to be safe he pulled 7* of timing. I lost some power N/A, but on the bottle its a animal....I havent sprayed anything over a 100 yet.

I sprayed a 75 shot once at the track, and I couldnt even feel it....a 100 shot give's you a nice little kick in the pants.

its always to be safe then sorry. Taking away 2* of timing for a 75 shot, sure as hell wont hurt.

Quick Reply: can i run a 75 shot with no tune?
