Default is nitrous boost?

noob asking question when you use nitrous are you above atmospheric pressure ? or is it just a dense charge of cold air?

No. If you put a boost gauge in the intake it would not show boost. if it did it would just shoot up out the carb and the car would stop running. Nitrous oxide is a chemical compound of 2 nitrogen molecules bonded to 1 oxygen molecule.when injected in to an engine it goes into the cylinder and at (ithink) 572* F these molecules seperate. This allows the oxygen to burn. when the proper amount of fuel is added you get horsepower.
