Arrow Timing twister questions.

Yes I did a search first.

Will I hook the red wire to my nitrous arming switch, or hook the red to a power source that's live once I start the car, and run the blue wire to my arming switch?

Also.. I am trying to understand where I want to have the dials set if I want to pull 8 degrees of timing above the factory MSD set of 1800 rpms. I don't want it to do it gradually, but to take out 8 degrees as soon as it hits 1900 rpms, and above.

I notice a lot of these types of posts get very few replies, maybe most people don't know. I appreciate any help though.

Red wire must have 12 volts+ while cranking. Blue get 12 volts+ from arming switch or the source you want to apply the spark retard signal Ex. gas pedal switch, window switch, N20 controler.

Dials for 8 degrees retard should be:

Mode = 0

10/1 = 0

1/.1 = 8

ADV = 0

hate to hijack but does it only pull timing when the nitrous is active(spraying) or as soon as you arm it

My understanding is as soon as it is turned on it starts to pull timing. It doesn't have any way of knowing that the nitrous is being introduced to the engine.

Edit: Maybe unless you power it to the WOT switch then I would assume it would only then pull timing.

The timing Twister pulls a set amount of timing when a +12vdc triger is sent to the blue wire.

You can activate the timing retard many different ways depending on your application and what you want to do with it.

Mine gets a trigger output from my progressive controller, so that it only pulls timing while I am spraying.

Yes, it can be used either way.
