Can I mount the bottle here?

Can I mount the bottle here? Could I mount a nitrous bottle with the bottle brackets to the back deck area? In other words if I drill through what's there to hit?

Yeah I wouldnt put it there if it were me. But some people do, and if you choose to then do it very carefully. I'm not sure if there is a certain way to mount it there or not.

I was wondering if I bolted it to some kind of steel plate if I could slip that under the carpet instead of drilling through the car body. I though the gas tank was there just didn't know how close and if it would cause issues.

What I did was had a piece of steel 1" steel cut to the size I needed, drilled, and tapped. Then I had it welded to the car, and mounted the bottle bracket to that.
