Default 200 shot, plugs?

Well I havent sprayed much in the last couple years, and I have a few questions. When i had the stock motor and was hitting it with a 150 shot I was using the ngk tr6 plugs. That is what is in the 402 now. I did hit it with a 100 shot on my last pass of 2010. I have decided to get a standalone system so I can go bigger than a 100 shot, at least a 150, maybe a 200. I have seen alot of new discussion on the BR7EF non projected tip plugs. Would I be safe with the tr6s on a 150 shot? How do the non projected plugs run n/a. I mostly run n/a and spray once in a while at the track. (it is addictive though)

I do all my own tuning and like the tr6s n/a and want some feedback on how the BR7EF plugs run n/a and if they are up to a possible 200 hit. If the tr6s will be good I would like to stick with those.

Tr6s are not good for your application period on spray. (depending on your compression probably too hot for your 402 na)

As far as the right nitrous plug goes for your 402 I would say a minimum of a br8ef on a 200 shot. If you were tuned on a tr6 then you will probably need your idle fueling retuned.

I am going to do the 02 pcm swap this spring and retune the car. The compression is 12:1 what plug do you recommend for n/a and spray. I dont spray very much and want something that is going to run good n/a and be able to handle a 150 shot at least with out having to change plugs at the track. (i guess if I had to change plugs at the track it isnt a big deal as I load a different tune for spay as well.)

Me personally..... You can't use the optimum plug for daily driving as you do on the spray. I do it but they foul out quickly because i haven't had my car tuned properly for the 3 step colder plugs. If it were me i would run a #7 as a daily driver and a #8 for the 150 shot for starters. As far as the the 200 or greater goes it is going to take some plug reading at the track to determine the correct heat range. I don't think you would hurt anything going with the 8 until you find the proper heat range.

Do you happen to know the stock number for the br7ef. I used a interchange guide on my parts house site and it doesnt bring it up.

I dont hae the stock # just call chris@nitrousOutlet or Dave and they can tell you the stock # and they keep them in stock. I would run 8s on a 200 you can also run 8s as a daily driver with they are tuned for the 8s. I run 9s drive mine to work and to the track no issues. I put new ones in before I race though 13-1 comp. motor.

Would running the 7's be good for a 175 or should the 8's be better?

Detoxx you will need to run 8s and be sure to read the plugs.

Ngk's website says one heat range colder for every 75 shot of additional spray. So tr6 is recommended up to 75 shot. br7ef is recommended to a 150 shot, 8 is recommended up to a 225 shot.

I sprayed mine with a 100 shot and 150 shot a couple of times on tr6. Then after reading what all the other fast guys on here were running, I found that was not right. When I put the 7s in, it woke right up.

br7ef is a 3346

i ran that plug with a 200 shot through a shark nozzle on 93 octane in a forged 347.

i ran a tr6 on a 125 shot with a completely stock motor for about 30k miles on the same plugs with no issues.

I did run the tr6s on a 150 shot with the stock motor with no issues. I have only sprayed the 402 once with a 100 shot. I will get the 7s and tune with those and do a 150 hit this year.
