Default TRs new "T-ReX" camshaft and nitrous...

Here are the specs: 242/248 .608/.612 110lsa +2

I know that the split is good for nitrous, but isn't the LSA awfully tight for signifigant nitrous usage? I keep reading/hearing people say "It'll be great on NOS", "Look at that split, that cam was made for NOS". Like I said, I know that split is good for NOS, but the LSA is too tight, no? How would it do with a 150-200 shot? Just curious, Shawn

I think it will do just fine on juice small as 200 or less. Any more and your wasting your time. Hell the TR 224cam is no nitrous winner. But true enough, if you spread that lil puppy out on a 116*lsa you would have one killer cam, and a need for piston clearancing. I bet they stuck to the 110 so they would not have to clearance/notch any pistons.

FYI: Lower LSA usually needs more P to V clearance than a higher LSA. For example, a G5X3 112 needs more P to V clearance than a G5X3 114. Assuming all timing events, ICL, etc are the same....

Also, what would happen if you put that cam on a 114? How much NA power would you lose?

242/248 114 (or +2*)

From looking at graphs of cam only in same car theres not much between the two as far as peak, its in the area under the curve and power band. But, I havent a clue. Still waiting to hear my friends 382 with a 231/237 cam but on a 116*lsa.

And yeah, thought about the clearance backwards, sorry.
