Default Spraying with no window switch?

How many of you are spraying without a window switch? I know, I know; I probably need a window switch. But, I have tuned for the nitrous and it's at a safe AFR. I have an MSD timing twister pulling out timing. With my Yank ss3600, if I flash the converter on nitrous, won't it flash past the 3000 mark fast enough to negate the worry of spraying below that rpm? Or should I foot brake as high as I can before leaving? I am going to spray thru the shifts and have set my rev limiter at 7200 to avoid hitting it. I want real world experiences, not "Joe has a window switch, so you need one". Thanks in advance.

A windowswitch is cheap insurance. I can not begin to tell you how many times I have seen something happen a simple 150.00 windowswitch would have prevented.

In your case... Food for thought.

Car bogs, hesitates, stumbles etc for what ever reason.. The windowswitch will make sure the nitrous does not come on.

Driveshaft breaks, rear end lets go, transmission slips, u joint brakes, etc the windowswitch will shut the nitrous off before it over revs up to the rev limiter.

Put a window switch on it.

.

As mentioned, very cheap insurance for you guys with mild combo's, and a lot of stock parts.
Anything can happen, and a little extra safety never hurts.

I'm spraying my camaro with out one. I've been lucky that I havnt had any issues with my ignition system making the car bog or my clutch turning loose. I have one I just need to stop being lazy and wire it up. I will deffinately install one on my vette when I finally install the nitrous kit.

I ran a some bottles through my Probe years ago with out a window switch and no issues. But I bought one with my current system.

Your feelings are correct that the converter will flash well past 3000, and if you are spraying through shifts then you don't need to have the top end shut off.

For $100-$150 it is foolish to run without one, and I am probably the cheapest person in this thread.

Im an auto, but i was running the HSW Microedge, just to be safe. You can still spray throught shifts, its just a level of safety should something else happen.
