Default Dry shot question

I just got my LQ4 all up and running in my volvo. It has a ls1 intake and i'm running megasquirt for fuel and spark. I plan to put a cam and springs in it with a dry shot. How big of a shot can I use through a single nozzle and is there any brand that works better than others? I have a sharp 90 coming right off the throttle body with about a 12" tube then a cone filter. Would the distribution still be okay if I put it before the 90 in the straight piece of tubing? I would like to spray a 150 shot.

Thanks

a 150 should be ok.. but on a nozzle I would only want to do a 100...
get a plate kit and a 150 will be no problem at all.

distribution will be less than optimal if you spray before the 90* bend....

I personally am a fan of the Nitrous outlet stuff...
but many different systems will work just fine for you

Dont spray before the bend and/or hit it with more than 150.

the dry style nos nossle will flow up to 150. if you ever decide to run more you'd need to run dual nossle's. i'm running dual nossle dry kit with 225 total on an lq4 and havent had any problems.
i'm running the nos 05115 kit with built in fuel psi regulator. if it was a dry kit without the regulator (just spraying in front of the maf), i wouldnt spray more than 100.

Where is your nozzle placement? Happen to have a pic? I could squeeze in about 3 inches of straight off the throttle body, you think that would be enough for good distribution?

Thanks

I dont have a maf and my megasquirt will add fuel and pull timing. I'm running 550cc subaru injectors that I can modify to 800's and will install an 044 when I put the kit on. Prob going e85 as the same time.

i doubt distribution would be as big a factor on a dry kit. although it may help. i havent tried changing the distance between nossle's and throttle body. i'm not running an maf or tube/filter.

i'm not running an maf.
i've seen most ls1 guys who run dry kits spray in front of the maf. i think running that type of dry kit you could only run 100-125 shot, safely.
i'm running the kit with the built in fuel psi regulator.
