To spray or stay all motor?
I am now having trouble deciding if I want to hook the nitrous kit I recently bought us! I sort of wanna stay all motor, but I am afraid I won't be happy with the car. The best pass this year was an 11.2 and has trapped 125mph but I think it could have went 11.0-11.1. The car currently has 4.11s in it but if I stay all motor I would go 4.30s. The car weighed 3510lbs with me in it and a 1/8 tank of gas. What's the fastest you guys think the car would go on motor with 4.30s and 28in slicks? On nitrous? I am not wanting to gut the car, maybe pull the rear seats out and passenger seat but that's about it. I want to keep the AC and all the goodies as the car sees a lot of street time.
Mods:
Forged Mahle Pistons(-4cc reliefs)
Stock rods/Crank
EPS 234/246 111lsa
PRC stage 1 LS6 Heads
Powerbond UDP
FAST 90/90
RPM T56
Car makes 438hp. Any suggestions or inputs on what it would do on motor? What about times on a 150 shot?

100 shot will net you solid 10s and 150 should get you low 10s.
I doubt swaping from 4.11s to 4.30s will gain you much at all. Certainly nothing close to what the nitrous will.

I have some front suspension on the way so I figured that and some gears would help but definitely nothing like spray. I was goning to try 4.56s with a 28 but I think that won't be enough gear.

In all seriousness the car in your signature will go 9s easy on spray. Research like crazy on suspension, plug reading, timing and get lot's of seat time. It is very doable with your setup.

Btw, what you have done with your car is bada$$! I have looked up some of the posts and you sure know what you're doing with that car! Congrats on the new time too!

I'll be hitting it with a 150 and if nothing happens to the car, as far as breaking, and it doesn't go 10s I'll be selling it that day for sure!

I would suggest not starting with 150 HP shot of nitrous. Start out with a 75 HP shot of nitrous and get your tune spot and then work your way up. Nitrous is magic power and you have to use it wisely.
Good luck and have fun! You will be in the 10's with just a 75 HP shot of nitrous.

Very optimistic, don't be disappointed if you you don't come anywhere near a 9 with a 100 shot. The faster you go the more nitrous it takes to go fast. Ex. I've seen a 100 shot knock an 11.8 car to a 10.90, but a 11.2 car won't gain a full second on a 100 shot.

If the car goes low 10s (hoping 10.2) with a 150 shot I'll be happy with that! Guess we'll see come spring tho.

Start at 100 shot to get your feet wet. Make some passes then step up to 150.
150 will get you 10s for sure. How low is an answer only time can tell. Like I said 11.2 on 100 shot, 10.8 on the 150. Again those are conservative and hopefully your times will be a tenth of two faster.

Did I miss something he has already traveled down the 1/4 mile to a best ET of 11.2 and trapped 125 MPH according to the first post? The car will go 10's with a 75 HP shot of nitrous. Trust me start small and work your way up. This is a different game than NA tune ups!
I say 10.85 on a 75 HP shot of nitrous as long as the car cuts a good 60 foot time.
Good luck and have fun!

I was wondering if I missed something myself. I just want spring to get here so I can get started and see what it'll do!
