Default considering nitrous

I'm thinking about adding nitrous to my car when I get the engine finished.

I want it completely hidden, no visible lines etc. I've just started reading about it and trying to decide if I want it or not. Any pros or cons you wanna throw at me?

Pm nitro dave about the money maker setup. Ive seen a couple and they work awesome. The only con to nitrous is refilling the bottle is expensive.. I got sick and tired of driving to the shop to fill my bottles ( one time getting a bottle filled with air and was charged 65) that I bought a filling station. It comes out to be a little less than $3 a pound. Plus I fill bottles for people so it pays for itself.

A guy here in town (300 people) rigged his safety valve on his bottle then overfilled it. He made it home with the bottle but that night it exploded and peeled the cab of his truck open like a soda can. I wouldn't overfill it but still makes me nervous about it peeling my car open like that in a wreck or something going wrong.

I have an idea of how I want to run it, plate on intake manifold jet coming straight up from the bottom.noids mounted on the block (will it get too hot?) Cig lighter as the nitrous switch. Bottle mounted in the spare tire hole.

FWIW... even if you hide a kit on the car, any experienced racer will recognize when you are using it. The trained ear and eye will catch it every time.

Yeah I know that, but I don't want it visible to the untrained eye. By time they realize I have spray its too late.

We can do a hidden spray bar in the plenum that is jetted from the rear. The nitrous solenoids could be very easily hidden. If you are interested just let me know.

Thanks
Trey

My kit is hidden pretty well. Although I won't pop the hood anyway... It won me $100 bucks just a few hours ago... I'm looking at it as more of an investment now lol.

Feels good doesn't it?! Now you have money to fill your bottle twice and to get a #1 at McD's

Plus the other guy is a little hurt in his feelings and his wallet.

Yes it does.. Now the hard part is making sure people don't find out around here. Some guy already looked at my accel vids on youtube and is claiming I have nitrous so I took that **** down asap. Luckily I only sprayed in burst so I didn't kill him to bad.

I as well am in the same boat as getting nitrous...a good friend is selling his wet kit from HSW, 350 bucks, purge kit, wiring, solenoids, everything. What are the best things to buy so that I can make sure it will run "safely"

So ya'll are the ones that won't pop hoods... I think I want a hidden system so I can pop my hood without anybody seeing anything other than the fact that my engine is painted...

no one usually ask's me to, but my kit is about as hidden as a basic wet kit can get. I have popped the hood for 3-4 different people who never can find it....

Exactly my engine bay looks clean without all the stuff running everywhere. I wasn't liking how it looked with all hoses running everywhere and solinoids sticking out
