Default Remote Bottle Opener ?

Okay i have recently installed my remote bottle opener and everything works good but i keep blowing a fuse if the button is pressed half a second to long. My car is really loud so it is hard to hear if the bottle opener stops turning so i blow it a lot. (unless i have the car off and open the bottle) It blows the gauge 10amp Fuse.

What could be causing this i cant imagine this always happens because it is way to sensitive.

It is plugged into the red circled spot. The ground used is the same as the rest of my nitrous system and i dont have a problem

Red Circle = IGN = Switched 12V Power (has power when key is in the on position, but does not have power otherwise)

Why not put another fuse in the box so it has its own fuse? When you go too far when you open or close it your overloading the circuit and the motor is drawing more current than when its inbetween. Put the bottle opener on its own fuse and try to not go too far opening and closing it...

i have a inline fuse to but it is 30 amp so i am assuming that is why it blows the 10 amp first and not the inline

Yes you are correct the smaller fuse is before the bigger one so it will blow it first. You can try a 20 but no bigger than that factory the ten amp was for the gauges but since your adding more stuff it could be "ok" for now to add a bigger fuse. But seriously you should make it its own dedicated circuit...

Find a spot in the fusebox thats empty and run ALL of your nitrous stuff to that spot go to a local shop and tell them you want to add a fuse to your fuse box they might have the pins to add mors stuff to your box but if you have to put it under your radio or the curtisy fuse. get a good fuse tap that removes the current fuse and sets down into the fuse location and has the fuse ontop of wheren it normally would set. I will see if i can find a pic of one kinda hard to discribe

It's suppose to be on it's own power and ground. You should be using a relay that is triggered from the open/close button.

I never heard of using a relay for the bottle opener. None of the company instructions say that

Hell maybe I'm thinking of the Heater. I got freakin' relays everywhere for my setup.

The opener motor does not draw that many amps. Where do you have your switch panel power comming from?

I think I just have it run to a 20A source.

Wouldnt it make more sense to run a relay on the opener too Kinda like if you do the pass upgrade for express window up & down Seems like an opener would pull more than a solenoid But Im a rookie So feedback would help a lot of people just my 2 cents

I haven't done it but I guess you would have to use 2 relays to reverse the polarity and run the opener in the opposite direction as well.

i show it in the picture above where it is plugged into. There is no fuse in that locating so i plugged it in there. But it blows the 10 amp fuse the slot

I never use relays with our remote opener. Either that area is feeding other things and you are over loading that pin or you have a wiring issue.

you solved this? I'm having the same issue with my CFN Remote Bottle Opener. I tried 20amp fuse but it blows too.

Nitrous Outlet bottle opener, 10amp fuse, no problems. iirc there is a clutch that is adjustable for how tight you want the valve to be. If the clutch adjustment is too tight, it will stall the motor and blow the fuse.
