My LT1 use to do that when i ran a 150 shot and my bottle was closed, lol. Not saying this is happening to you but does your nitrous solenoid work properly, have you checked it. Do you know what your A/F is when its happening. In my case my car would bog because i was dumping a ton of fuel into the motor with no nitrous and car falls flat on its face.

to me it sounds like your running rich but not 100%. Either your solenoid is not working properly, your bottle pressure too low which even at 800psi shouldnt be that bad or too much on the fuel jet. I would tell you to hold off till you get your wideband on there to be safe, i would tell you to check plugs but in this case you've driven on them n/a and nitrous for a few miles so probably wont give you the best reading.

does your kit say a 28 jet is what your suppose to use for a 100 shot? i know alot of the nitrous companies have the set up on the rich side. You can try a 24 jet for the fuel but in the end the safe bet is to really check your A/F and hold off for now. Just becareful whatever you decide to do. If it was me and not saying you should i would try a 24jet and only go WOT from 3500-4500 rpms and just see how it hits. If it hits better then you were probably running too rich but really need to know A/F either way.

First of all what bottle pressure are you running?

I wouldn't spray at anything lower than 900psi. I let mine get up to 950 the other night and purged it down to 925ish on the line.

Pull nozzle
Turn nitrous bottle on
Test nitrous noid to be sure it's working (do NOT spray in motor).
Could be a bad ground, clogged filter, bad noid ???

if you dont have a bottle heater get a good one, make sure you have atleast 900psi bottle pressure when you spray and you are checking your gauge before spraying?. Also if you havent installed your wideband, after you install it let us know your A/F. Did you go to the 24 jet?

Do you even have a bottle warmer or a pressure gauge?

If not stop spraying until you at least get a pressure gauge.

Just make sure you have a pressure gauge for sure and definitly get a good bottle heater. On a cold day with a full bottle you could be around 750-800psi and on a hot day you can pass 1050psi, in my case ive reached 1200psi on a really hot day. If you spray it a few times on a cold day you could be around 600-650psi bottle pressure. So you can be all over the place as far as bottle pressure and getting a bottle heater will definitly help as well raising that pressure up and sustaining it.

Nitrous pressure gauge? If so make sure that the pressure is no lower than 900 when you spray.

Good information.

For a good example on my end also...It was getting quite warm in my garage today and for ***** and giggles I checked my bottle pressure just to see where it was. It was at 1000psi. I just didn't like the idea of my bottle sitting in my 85-90 degree garage in beginning of May, knowing it will be 100+ in there this summer and will probably take it much higher than 1000 if it was allowed to stay in the car in that heat.

I just didn't feel comfortable with it in there even at 1000 so I brought it inside the house. It's now sitting at a comfortable 600psi in the 75 degree house.

Thats what i need to do more often, when i was sick a couple of months ago and couldnt get out of bed i knew it was a hot day and told my friend to go to my car and check the bottle pressure and he told me it was past 1250psi. Told him to immediatly pull it out of the car. I park outside in the sun so cali weather in the summer is going to be brutal. So now i do what you do, once it gets hot i pull the bottle out immediatly. OP, just becarefull that you get atleast the basic stuff first, where just trying to help you out. People mess up there motors and break sh*t because they dont want to wait or take short cuts, or lol get greedy and up the shot.
