Default stock nitrous freak

I have a 2002 Trans am a4 pod list is slp lid smooth bellow descreen Maf cut off muffler,
car was beat to hell when I got it misfiring and all that stuff. Got the car fixed ran faster then any ls1 car I have come up on with boltons. I hit it with 100 shot 52n/28f fogged in the bellow and the car went from 313hp 360tq NA to 456hp 536tq any ideas why it so high because a buddy of mine have pretty much say build but m6 and he has headers and not at my ####

Even had the Guy at the Dyno look at my af 11.0 normaly not good but he said it was still a LiL rich he said Bec I still have cats it throws off the reading a point or so

Good numbers OP, i dont know about your car but my car with cats running nitrous they didnt last for too long, lol. Mostly i was running very rich at the begining when i just got my nitrous. The rating you get from the company you buy the nitrous from are not meant to be dead on accurate to the amount your going to get at the wheels sometime you'll pull higher number and sometimes lower. Also has alot to do with the mods you have on your car and your tune. Every car even if its a LS1 reacts different to mods. I would've just asked the guy at the dyno if he made the right corrections when you ran the nitrous shot as well. Other then that its hard to give you a specific reason as to why your numbers are soo high on nitrous, but im sure your happy and in the end once you get that A/F up a bit check your plugs if your car is running right thats all that matters.

If your car is at 11.0 afr WOT it is rich as hell. You need to lean it out a lot and as you lean it out you need to watch the heat on the plug strap as it will begin to show hotter and hotter as it's leaned out along with the timing mark moving further and further into the bend or past it which will tell you when to stop leaning it out, change to a different colder heat range plug, use a higher octane cooler burning fuel, retard timing more or all of those things combined.

Have you looked at a plug at all?

Thanks for all your info, and yes I have looked at the plugs I am running tr6 .36 gap and the plugs look OK but rich and cylinder 6,7,8 if I remember correct were a lil hotter then the rest but not to bad if you ask me but I'm still learning and just for the record its a wet shot also but I'm going to a NO plate to help the mix a bit

My plan is to get headers full exhaust not sure if to y it or true duels vs performance
And maybe an ls6 cam and tune I hope it will make 500 with those mods and a 125 maybe 150

And how are you reading your plug just to be sure I'm going it right.

What dyno was this on? I made 441/500 on a nos 51/31(100 shot)90mm plate kit. Mods were headers, fast 90/90, smooth bellow, 4.56's/12 bolt spool ,28" tires. It made 317/339 n/a. Theses were corrected numbers maybe you are reading the uncorrected numbers they are usually higher, Im pretty sure I was right around there uncorrected but I was an m6 at the time.

You need to ditch those tr6's and get a non projected tip plug in there!!

Get some BR7EF's OP. NGK part number 3346.

I'd run them at the gap they are out of the box. On my 150 shot I have been gapping mine at .028-.030.

What is the reason for switching to this plug and what will it do or prevent?

Without having to go into a bunch of details you might not understand, it's the plug you need to run.

Non-projected tip plugs are to nitrous as peanut butter is to grape jelly. There are tons of threads on this.

For what it's worth. I make 560+rwhp naturally aspired and spray .052 nitrous on a tr6 equivalent plug. Lots of ways to do things.your car is making a lot of power for the mods if it isn't burning anything up I would just keep the hot plug in it.

I'd say that dyno was being very generous... 114mph says it all...

My car made 399RWHP without spray and traps 118mph. Sounds like that dyno was being very generous.

OP like others have said swap to some non projected tip plugs for your setup. Start reading the plugs and go from there making the necessary changes.
