If using an EGT gauge What TEMP = LEAN at WOT on 100 wet shot?
I need to know the Temp that would be considered lean at WOT when using a 100 wet shot.. I'm trying to use an Exhaust Gas Temperature gauge (or Pyrometer) to determine rich/lean conditions.
I know that high temp = lean ... but WHAT IS HIGH TEMP???? any help would be apreciated thanks guys <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0">

Let me guess....Nobody even uses an EGT to determine rich/Lean...so nobody has a clue right <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0"> <img src="gr_sad.gif" border="0"> <img src="gr_eek2.gif" border="0"> <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[Burnout]" /> <img src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" border="0" alt="[barf]" />

I'd like to know this too. I've hear that monitoring the EGT is a more accurate way to gauge lean/rich conditions..

You could always dyno with A/F and let us know your findings. I think anything above 800C is gettting lean, but that's what I hear from turbo cars.

i was wondering the same thing myself. i used to run one on my gn and we would aim for 1500-1550, so i am not sure what to look for on a ls1 or even where to try to place the probe

Never used one for N2O, but I used to run one with my T-76 setup. Used to see about 1700F with 14psi of boost on 103 unleaded. Of course, my engine was built for it. Not sure what kind of temps you'd look for using N2O. try calling George at Turbo Technology. He has a lot of experience with EGT stuff. He may be able to give you some insight.
