Default Harlan Window Switch Programming Tips

I just programed my Harlan and wanted to share a couple things:

If you go step by step you program the # or cylinders first, then the ON RPM point and then the OFF RPM point but kept getting an error messge (three sets of two quick flashes) trying to set the ON RPM point. This is because the OFF RPM point had not been set yet and there is a logic check done when programming that the OFF RPM point must be higher than the ON RPM point.

If you program in the following order you will avoid that:

1. # of Cylinders
2. OFF RPM point (IE 5900)
3. ON RPM point (IE 3000)

Another thing I ran into was a weird flash trying to set the ON RPM to 3000. I got three slow flashes, a pause, then two quick ones. When I set it to 2900 if flashed as it should, 2 slow flashes, pause, 9 slow flashes.

It looks daunting at first but you get the hang of it real quick. After that it's easy peasy.

Thanks for the tip on the double flash being zero Parish. Guess I missed that in the instructions.

More tips:

As mentioned above, the two quick flashes after the # of slow flashes of the RPM indicates a zero, so three long flashes followed by two short is 3000. It mentions this in the iunstructions, I just missed it.

The LED turns on after the OFF RPM when in 'Normal' mode. I had thought it would turn on during the window but it only comes on after the grounded window is over. It could be used as a soft of shift light I suppose.

Mine took all of 3 minutes to program. Piece of cake, just like his shiftlight.
