I didn't think it would be but I've only sprayed ssay 4-5 times and they were brief sprays, not like a 1/4 mile or anything, more like short shifting 2nd and 3rd. My bottle pressure is already <= 800 PSI. How much HP of my 100 shot am I leaving on the table? Are there any tricks like chilling the bottle before taking it to get filled?

I would go ahead and get a bottle warmer so that your bottle pressure is always at 1050

Bottle heaters are well worth the money. They are especially helpful when the bottle starts to get empty. Not sure exacly how much power your leaving on the table but, you will be able to feel a big differance between 800psi and 1000psi or so. You can usauly find them pretty cheap in the forsale section or you might be able to find one on Ebay.

I freeze or atleast chill my bottle before refills but that's only because my guy doesn't have a pump or cryo station. We simply rely on pressure differances to fill the bottle and I usaully get a full 15lbs into a cold bottle.

Pick up one of NXs autamatic heaters.They are deffintly worth the money.

Are the NX ones pressure controlled like the Dyno Tune ones? Are the thermostat controlled ones good? Obviously not as good as the pressure controlled ones. Another factor is time to pressure.

The NX is pressure controlled (not sure if it's adjustable). I would stay away from the thermostat controled ones, I have an NOS bottle heater and I bypased the thermostat the first week I had it. The thermo shut off at 850psi plus I found that it was not very consistant.

i too wondered the same question..got my f1 kit,put it on and i was not impressed, yes i could feel the power but not like i thought i should have. waited for a warm day and let the bottle bask in the sun till it was about 950psi. I then threw it in the bird and off to my local "test strip"
holy shitt what a difference the pressure made..used to it would surge but now that i got my heater..no problems made in the shade man. Get one especially if going wet kit.

At the track, I found that the quickest way to get pressure up is to immerse the bottle into some hot water, and within less than a minute the pressure climbs quickly.
Otherwise I used a NOS heater before and it takes like 1 hour to get from 900 to 1000+.
IMO NOS heater is crap.

If you get the NX heater, don't use the pressure switch. It shuts off at 900 psi. I have an in-car gauge and let the pressure get up to 1200psi, then at the line I will purge down to ~1100-1150.

A bottle heater is a must! This is the easiest way to build and maintain your bottle pressure at the track or on the street. For you to run consistent times you need to have your bottle pressure at the same PSI all the time, with a bottle heater this is easy to do. Also go with the NX bottle heater, you do not want one that is thermo controlled. The NX bottle heater will shut off at the proper bottle PSI.

I wouldn't say a bottle heater is a must. Keeping the bottle pressure up is a must. There are plenty of ways to heat up a bottle...hot water, blow torch (don't recommend it but it works), car heater, 12volt heating pad..etc

Well I'm sold. Even after getting my bottle filled again it only came up to ~850 PSI. I'm looking at the NX, Dyno Tune and Cold Fusion and figure I can get into one for ~$100. Next is an opener...THEN I should be able to stop spending for a while, except for filling the bottle...
