Default Why does it feel like my car skips/slips when spraying?

Ok, its been 2 years and i still cant figure this one out. Ok, if i go to the track and spray right before or in the first part of 2nd, when i get to 3rd my car feels like its slipping or the n20 is hitting off and on????

but when im on the street and WOT the car then spray right after the car runs so damn good. It just seems like the sooner i hit the spray(20-30mph) the car acts funny on top end.. I know its not the tranny, cause she dang sure woulda blown out by now if it was going bad with all the 1.5-1.60 60's in the past 2 years. I have most of my connections on the 12volt side post outlet on the drivers side, and grounded to a very good ground. Everything is getting plenty power. Its a TNT DRY F1 kit, and i mainly only spray a 75 shot, but on the 100 its a little worse(would make sense cause if the n20 is cutting off and on i would feel it more)

i DO not have a FP switch, cause its a dry shot. Screen is outta the MAF, so what gives??

i have the vig 3600 stall, so do ya'll just think that hates N20??

like i said, it feels like a sputtering, skipping, or slipping type deal. Just like the spray is hitting then cuts off, then hits, then cuts off...

its been 2 years(I dont spray much) but this sucks when i actually want to try it out at the track!

my guess would be the FPSS tripping, see if you can get a fuel pressure gauge and watch it. you can get a manual gauge and just run the hose under the windsheild wiper for temporary use.

Its hard to say. It could be alot of stuff, maybe a combination of stuff.

Make sure your bottle is mounted correctly and you have good pressure.

A fuel guage and air/fuel ratio guage would narrow it down.

my bottle is in the spare tire well and its slanted sorta up right, well a 75degree angle.

How much nitrous is left in the bottle and what was the bottle pressure? I've noticed a serious drop in performance with around 2 to 3 pounds left in my 10# bottle. Have you checked your N2O filter? Is the bottle mounted with the valve facing the front of the car and the relief valve pointed to the sky?? Could it be your tranny slipping? Just a few ideas for ya. Ps: IMHO You will see a loss of liquid N2O because of the position you have the bottle mounted. I would get a refill and see if the problem persists when you spray a fresh bottle. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

i just took the n20 filter apart and thats about as clean as it gets.

the blow down tube is facing the top of the hatch and the valve is facing the rear tire, its about a 75degree angle there right on the dot. Even with full bottle it would do it at the track. I just thought if it was my tranny, after 2 years it would be gone by now after all the burnouts and launches..

also i went out today and atapped 3 runs, and each time the car sprayed AOK!! it doesnt make sense at all

why at the track, and not on the street? the saga continues...

on my runs on the street spraying the timing never really drops any, maybe like to 24-25 when its around 26-27 average

but i have runs NA where the timing dropped to -3.5 to 6 or so!!!

The bottle valve is facing the rear tire??? Or are you talking about the relief valve? The bottle valve should be facing the front of the car, the blow down tube to the to the sky, with the front (valve side) of the bottle tilted up around 30 degrees from paralell with the asphalt.
