Default Need help with HSW Interface

OK, I purchased a HSW Interface two years ago and I'm getting ready to install it - I know, I'm slow as hell. Anyway, I purchased the Interface because I am going head/cam soon and would like the best NA tune and pull timing only when I spray. Now I'm reading over the instructions and If Im reading this correctly, I can only pull three degrees?? How did I miss that when I purchased this thing?

This is for an LS1 application. Any help is much appreciated because I don't think I have enough funds to convert this into a wet system.

If I remember right 3 degrees is the default for when the IAT is maxed out, which is what the the interface does. It can pull more but the values for the temp range it defaults too need changed.

All this tuning jargon flies right over my head - I don't know diddly squat about this type of stuff. I will be taking my car over to Straightline Performance for the tune. So pulling more timing is possible but more complicated?

Appreciate it but I have the instructions. I thought you could pull timing on the controller itself (you can pull only 3 degrees on the box) and didn't know for more than three, you had to manipulate this through a tuning device which is why I created this thread.
