Default How much spray on my setup?

Hi, I'm interested in Nitrous but unsure how much more power my bottom end will handle, it's stock. I have MS3 Cam, LS7 lifters, PRC double springs, SLP timing chain/oil pump kit. Also BBK intake, 85mm TB, Pacesetter headers, 42lb injectors and 255 fuel pump. I put down 410rwhp with the tune.

I'm assuming I'm around 460-470hp at the engine, so can I do a 75 shot without any kind of forged internals? My plan is to only spray at the track and I only go to the track for no more than 12-15 runs in a year really, about 3 trips.

I have pretty much the same setup as you. Stock bottom end, MS3 cam and bolt ons except I am still running LS6 intake. I am spraying a .093 jet through a Nitrous Outlet plate which is around 350-375 flywheel horsepower. Have about 8-10 passes on that jet , but, another 60-70 passes on 200-300 shot and shifts are 6900. i would probably start with 100 shot , pulling 4-5 degrees timing and use an NGK BR7ef plug gapped @.032 and once you get a good handle on plug reading can move up in jet. There is really just too many factors to say what a safe limit is for any motor. I have seen someone grenade a stock motor with 125 shot shifting @6100 and have seen built motors come apart on a lot less than what I am spraying on a stock one.

probably a stupid question, but can I adjust the timing without a handheld tuner? I use torque to 'look' at everything but I don't have a tuner yet.

Lingenfelter offers a box that retards timing when nitrous hits. Can't remember the part number , but, it is on their site.
