Question MSD Timing Twister (Flashing LED Issues)

I know they quit making these awhile ago, but have had one laying around for awhile and decided to hook it up on my brothers 01' SS. Everything is hooked up minus the gray wire for the tach and the led flashes and car will not stay running under its own power. Read maybe its learning, if so can someone shine some info on how to do this? Or anyone know what the issue is? All the dials are set to 0. Tried different modes (stock timing, ect) Still no luck.

i would check over all the dials. Get some instructions to make sure you have them set right. I actually purchased a used timing twister that was messed up. Sent it off to MSD last year and they fixed and tested it for hardly nothing. Might be another option if u cant get it working. Good Luck!

when you got the msd box back, did you have to do anything special to let it learn the teeth on the crank or anything? Seen thats what flashing led means? Also did you need to hook up the gray tach wire?

No. From what i have researched flashing led means it is working and not controlling timing. Mine does the same thing now that i think about it. But if u watch it and idle the car up to around 3000rpm which is when timing will be pulled with nitrous it should have a steady led.

Still dont run good, stays flashing no matter the rpm. Bypass it and it runs fine. I'll have to call msd I guess
