Default New track results 10.61@127. 150 shot

Ok so the build is far from its full potential, but I'm changing it this winter so this will be the fastest this current setup will ever go. Mods list first then the story.
LS1 stock bottom end.
799 heads
ls6 intake
ported maf with no lid or filter on it.
Katech Rod Bolts.
fresh rod and main bearings
comp 238/242 .605/.610 113+4
lt's 3"xpipe moroso spiral flows
edelbrock torque arm
sphon lca's
founders relocation brackets (bottom hole)
th350 with only a shift kit
ATI 8' 4000 nitrous converter
STOCK 10 BOLT with 2.73
racestar industries with 275/60-15 et street radials , extremely bald, as in showing cords after leaving the track bald
car weighs 3380 with me in it, im 280.
dynotune nitrous solenoids with Nitrous outlet plate 62/33 jets.

first pass spun bad 1.83 60" 11.11 @125
second pass hooked hard 1.48 60' 6.69 @102 through the 1/8 then a muffler fell off and i let out 100ft short and it went 10.70@119

* 3rd pass
1.54 60' 6.75@101 10.61@127.47.

Now the story. I traded for the car in January, it had 171k on it and had the HCI, exhaust, etc. it was still a 4l60e full interior car. had a garbage tune on it and had been a best of 8.0@90 on street tires. I tore the 4l60e out in 4 days time so decided to th350 swap it because this was the cheapest method. I also bought and installed the nitrous kit. then partially gutted it, took weight out where i could and got the car down to 3100 with out me, I went to go have the car tuned and had a bad coil pack so we could not tune it, so they went ahead and loaded a "base" tune into it. the car is still rich like 11.7:1 the one time i put a tailpipe sniffer on it. I never got back to my tuner to get the tune right. in july while cruising it started knocking, spun the #5 rod bearing. I was going to leave it apart til winter til the local cobra kid with dual poweradders talked too much ****. So spitefully, I bought a 20k mile crank with surface rust for $45 and bought some used pistons and rods for $112 shipped. when the pistons came in one had shipping damages so I only used 7 of them and reused one of mine. I was going to reuse my main bearings but they were showing copper so reluctantly I had to replace them I figured if I replaced them I was going to replace the rod bearings as well. I did reuse the piston rings. I figured since i had new bearings might as well try to make it live and put good rod bolts in it, so I bought Katechs. i bought new felpro gaskets and new OEM head bolts. this time I pulled the junk tci converter out and put in the ATI. I have had it back together for right at a month and have put 25lbs of nitrous through it, and about 1500 street miles I drug the cobra's *** drug a 540 ci monte down the road so mission accomplished. I took it to NLR this past sunday and made a couple end of the year runs which netted me a 10.61@127 with a 2.73 gear. and brought it home in one piece.

LONG STORY SHORT my clapped out slapped together untuned mess of a car ran some strong mid 10 runs and cant wait to do it again! this winter we have some new plans and disassembly starts this weekend.

1st is the rear end. I have an 8.8/10 bolt hybrid we have been building and should be in the car before thanksgiving.

2nd custom 10 point cage, bolt in core support stand radiator up and delete heater box.

3rd. cut cowl out, install supervictor and 4150/4500 tb with Nitrous Outlet Puck system. and a REAL TUNE.

4th New rubber/ gut more weight wherever I can. and clean up some sloppyness.

That is pretty damn good with a 2.73 gear. A better gear and a low carbohydrate diet mod and you will be low 10s. :p

haha speedtigger the diet is already on i was 315 4-5 months ago.
and bernarlitt a lot was done when I got it but I will try to cover everything

starting front to back
front bumper is deleted
sway bar
front air dam lip thing and inner fender liners
front bumper cover is trimmed underneath so it doesnt wrap under as far.
all a/c components and emissions equipment (still has heat for now)
aftermarket cheap wavy POS SS hood
the car has been wrecked before there is a good chance the fenders are lighter cheaper aftermarket units but dont know.

and just all kinds of little ****, if it didnt need to be there i take it out. every time i work on it she loses a pound or two, it adds up.

th350 vs 4l60 e
drag wheels
rear seat
carpet
door bars
all but 2 speakers
still has a power seat in it. power windows and t tops.
still has a rear bumper in it.
still has the metal behind fenders
dash has never been out
still has air bags.
lots of weight still to come out.

will be adding some back in with the cage but we are going chromoly.
