Default 2 Stages?

I have a little 370ci motor, Ls3 heads, stock ls3 intake plumbed with Nitrous outlets money maker kit, and then a 90mm Nitrous outlet plate kit.

I plan to play with the setup alittle, and either leave on the 200 shot, then add another 100 at about 330' mark if traction permits. IF not ill leave on the 100, and then have the 200 shot come in down at 330 mark.

I know tuning is the most important part of it, so I plan to make a pass, tow back, and get a look at the plugs, then make another pass.. unless I can get it on a dyno, then I just buy a big box of plugs and start tuning..

Ideas? opinions? any real life experience with it?

Sounds like it will kick some *** to me I'm running a 370ci TMS forged shortblock with just a 100 shot for now. I'm just curious what kind of 370 you have?

6.0 iron block. Wiseco -3cc pistons, Comstar rods, stock crank, ARP main studs, rod bolts, head studs.

Using the ls3 heads without porting/milling, and a stock head gasket, puts it 9.8:1-10:1 roughly.

You need to get the 2nd kit in way quicker to run a good et. If you can get it all in no later than the 60'. I would do 1 larger kit and progress it in. I do like a 2nd stage on a button for grudge racing though.

I think its going to be hard to hook on 200 out of the hole without a progressor. If it were me, I would start with 100, then bring on the 200...Read the plugs and start conservative, you'll be fine! Let me know if you have anymore questions bud.

Thanks.

Thanks for the advice,

I planned to see what I can get it to handle out of the hole, if I can make it handle 100-150 off the line, then Ill adjust the 2nd stage to fit what it can do down track. unfortunately, I am limited by my current ring gap (.20 1st ring)(.22 2nd ring) using the wiseco GFX ring set. I had planned to go bigger once I had figured things out, but looks like I will play with this setup till next year, then pull it apart, re-ring, and go for it.. maybe get a better suited cam, cnc the heads, mill them if I can work PTV clearance in there.... Start dropping weight off this pig

I am shooting for a single digit pass, I dont care if its 9.99... its 9s or bust this year..

Thanks again for the comments!

What do you have as far as suspension on the car and what does it weigh?

Car is about full weight, 3560 without me in it, probably 3450 with bigs and littles, but I haven't scaled it in awhile..

Full susp car, qa1 coil overs up front umi kmember, upper/lower control arms, random tech adj tq arm set at -3 degrees currently, strange 12 bolt, 3.73s qa1 adj rear shocks, stock rear springs, bmr rear control arms. Relocated to a level setting on the rear, bmr panhard bar.

Car has a new 4l80 with 4k stall, the setup is all still new to the car, and need to work all the bugs out and get the setup dialed in... After that I plan to start removing weight from the car

Power and weight say its in the cards to make the number, but we all know that means jack if you ain't getting it to work...

Should be able to hook a 200hp shot out of the hole imo if the track is decent.....but work on 1 tune at a time not both because you will not know if one is off or not. If you do not run 9's with a 300 shot something is wrong.

Lol, yeah I'm fairly sure that with the 300 shot I better see 9s, I'm going to regap the rings before I start all this. The rings are alittle tight for my goals... Going to loosen it up alittle

I guess I should say get the 1st stage right before adding the second. Yeah 9's should be easy as long as you hook and good idea on opening the rings more.

Started talking to the shop that put my shortblock together, might be mistaken on the ring gaps, so hopefully we can pull the build sheet, and verify them before I take it apart to re gap for more nitrous... I'd be comfortable with 28/30, but we will see
