Default 4an or 6an feed line question

I see the Nitrous Outlet 78mm LS1 plate kit comes with a 4an feed line, while the Nitrous Express 78mm LS1 plate kit comes with a 6an feed line. I don't want this thread to turn into a pissing contest between the two companies; I just want to know if there is a major difference between a 4an feed line and a 6an feed line? How much HP can a 4an feed line support and how much can a 6an feed line support?

I have the nitrous outlet kit on our C5 so of course it has the 4an line. I'm not an expert, and have been doing a lot of research lately to learn about it all, but my understanding is that I can do 250 with the 4an and past that, up to 400, can be accomplished by just changing to 6an. If someone knows more and can correct me please feel free.

We offer systems in 4an or 6an. It really just depends on what you want to do with the system. If you're planning on running over 225 go to the -6AN.

Thanks Brandon. My stock pistons/rods won't see more than a 200 shot anyway, so looks like a 4an is fine for me. I like the way your kit has the noids on a hardline (just makes for a cleaner look in my opinion). Plus, sounds like upgrading to a 6an line isn't a big deal.

Brandon, on the 78mm LS1 kit, how much are the noids good for?

Upgrading to a -6AN is only around $25 when purchasing the system. Our .122N/.187F solenoid setup is capable of flowing 400HP+(This must have a -6AN line obviously).

Thanks again Brandon. Is there an option on the website to upgrade to the -6AN line, or is that something I would need to call about?

damn, think I only got the -4 line with the kit I am putting together....meh I was only planning on a 200 shot anyway so I guess I will just go with it and not return it for a -6 line.

No problem. Just give me a call and I can get it set up for you. We will have it as an option on the website soon though!

Also be sure to upgrade your line from the solenoid to the plate from a -3 to a -4 when going spraying 225+

One end is a -4 that connects to the solenoid and the other end is a -3 that connects to the plate. But the ID of the line is a -4.

The Nitrous Outlet kit comes with hard lines, at least that's what it shows on the website. Again, maybe they can customize it with braided lines. I assume braided lines would be better for a bigger shot down the road?

The hard lines can flow the full amount the kit is capable of. A braided hose Nitrous Outlet kit would just be a 78mm LSX system(PN:00-10102)

I already a bunch of the parts. Bottle/mount, heater, remote opener, Nitrous Outlet 2 stage 90mm plate, -4AN feed line. All I need yet are the solenoids, switch panel, TPS/window switch.

All of my fuel lines are braided stainless and will eventually convert all the other hoses to braided stainless....will probably go with braided stainless lines just to match up.

Gonna run 1 side of the plate for nitrous/fuel and the other side for meth/meth
