Well i'm a HCI 6.0 plus a 100 shot, and have 4.10's as well. There is not enough gear for me to make a 1/4 mile pass, but it's a handful on the street lol. If you are wanting a gear specifically for the spray then the 4.10 is to much

410 you won't make it through the 1/4. I sprayed a 150 and had to step down to 3.73 with a 26 in tall tire. I was still on stock 17s. U may be able with a taller tire like a 28.

Why would you want to spray at the very top of 2nd? Wouldn't it make sense to spray right when you shift? With that said it might make a tiny difference but not much. I've tried that before in my Mustang and it still trapped almost the same either way

I have stock 3.42s with 150 shot, mickey Ts out back it hooks in first on dope and i'm shifting my *** off 1-2 and 2-3. I think the stock gears are perfect with this setup.

I have motive 3:90 gears (m6), going to spray 100 shot. I wonder if that maybe too much gear as well?

I went 138mph with 4:10's and 28's with a cam and 200 shot. 7300 rpms but auto car. You will be fine with a 6 speed car and that size shot.
