Default Stock lq4 nitrous question

I have a bone stock lq4 with holleys HP EFI and headers in my bu. car ran 11.20 last week on 100 shot and 93 pump gas an just regular plugs. Here in a few weeks I'm looking to spray 150 shot. I have a set of ngk plugs I'm going to throw in it that are heat range 7 ( 5 is stock I think) I also bought some q16 fuel to mix 50/50 with my 93 octane so that it'll be a little more octane. I'm not worried about the q16 running too lean because I have a target afr that the holley efi will learn and change the fuel settings to me that afr. I just want other people opinions on this setup or mixing the fuels. Do you approve or disapprove and would you do anything different?

Race fuel will definitely benefit you. You'll be able to run a little more timing that way, and 150 shot on even a stock LQ4 is perfectly fine. You are taking all the precautions with fuel and cooler plugs, just make sure to pull timing, and tune back into it from there. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Gap the plugs at .032, pull 6* from stock timing to start with, and you can read off the plugs to see how much more timing it will take with the race fuel. If you need any help reading plugs, we can help with that too.

I have the same set up but in a 88 trans am. I just got my car back from the body shop and it will be awhile before i hit the track. I have a few questions, what do you have your timing at and are you using the hp ecu to controll the nitrous? Also is it a wet or dry system? Thanks

I haven't touched the timing I put the base holley tune in it and have left it in the closed loop learn function. It automatically changes timing and fuel to meet the set target afr ratio. And it is a wet system that is triggered by the parameters I have set on the ecu. The ecu knows to engage nitrous when I turn on my toggle switch and hit 90% throttle position. The holley hp efi is awesome. It also has settings you can use for progressive nitrous, boost control, and water methanol inj. I'm very happy with it
