Default Direct port setups

So I was curious on direct port setups; would it be dangerous to do some sort of setup that has 2 total jets through a distribution block as opposed to the 16 jets? Obviously the 16 jet setup is ideally so you can lean out or richen up each individual cylinder if need be, but if all cylinders have the same jets what difference would it be to put, say, a 250 shot jet in a 2 in 16 out distribution block (or two 1 in 8 out blocks)?

This is going along the same lines as NX's spray bar installed inside an intake that has 2 jets, and advertise that you can spray 300 through it.

Thoughts/Opinions?

I would be alot more comfortable having 2 jets PER cylinder on a direct port. A spraybar setup has alot less volume to fill, and is alot closer to a plate rather than a direct port as far as jetting goes.

Is a 2 jet system just going to have distribution issues, or what would the primary concern be?

That, it could also have a bigger lean spike, you also have no ability to tune each cylinder like you would with a traditional direct port. One other thing is that having 2 jets for 16 different lines, some of the lines are going to be different lengths, and this could lead to unequal distribution because the longer lines are going to have more resistance and the nitrous/fuel has more distance to travel. This could cause a "favoring" of the "closer" cylinders.

All of our automotive direct ports use 16 jets, for these reasons.

The lines to the nozzles wont seal up without jets. you could use a flow through jet on each side I guess but that really defeats the purpose of a direct port.
