Thumbs down Nitrous fuel solenoid leaking. Help>>>>>

I have a throttle sticking problem in a previous thread and someone suggested that i move the nozzel position alittle, well upon taking off the airlid and stuff i noticed that i had fuel in the throttle body. I have not run nitrous in a week and the nozzel was wet so i know its leaking.

Is there a way to fix a solenoid or do i have to purchase another one.

Thanks.

You can rebuild them in most cases. Contact Nitro Dave and tell them what you're running. They sell just about every brand of nitrous kit now and should be able to get whatever you need.

Probably gunk in the plunger. Call NX or Nitro Dave's..they will take car of you. I had one slow-leak like that, and I just drove to NX and they traded me out a new one.

Should you check for leaks often?

In my case, I didn't have to look. You could smell gas, and it would hesitate to start unless it sat for 15-30 minutes. As soon as I pulled off the intake tubing, you could see the gas.

I would take the noid apart and look for debris and re-assemble after inspecting the coil for hot spots. If that doesn't do it I would remove the noid until you get it rebuilt or replaced or at the very least not spray. If the noid were to stick wide open you take the chance of washing the cylinder walls w/ fuel and if it were to stick closed, well, we all know what would happen.

Its a good idea to inspect/rebuild the fuel noids on a regular basis. The fuels we run have cleaning agents in them, and can lead to fouling at the plunger.
Its also not a bad idea to put a manual shut off valve upstream of the noid to prevent fuel from contacting it unless you are gonna use it. Its a hassle but the noid will last longer.
