Default Best Nitrous torque converter

I guess this can go here. Im looking to see if anyone recommends what kind of torue converter for my 402 stroker nitrtous build? Circle D yank? theres a lot of options also what would someone recommend for stall size for that application? I want to make 500-550 all motor and put a 300-400 shot through it.

Cirlce D, and yank are both VERY reputable places. Just to throw out another option I would have to say PTC. Lane over at PTC is one of the nicest people I have ever spoken to in the racing industry.

Call Lane @ PTC and he will spec eveything out for you. Just be realistic with yourself with what you are actually gonna put through it and he will take care of it.

This is one place you want to get a custom built converter, spec'd by the people building it, for that much juice.
I would call around to the above companies and go from there.

I run PTC in all our cars. I have them in 4L60E, 200-4R, TH350, Power Glide. Great folks to deal with.

I've heard good things about the other companies listed above, but I've been running PTC's for years and never had the need to change.

PTC or FTI if th350/ 400 or glide. FTI if 4L60E. FTI has the two quickest 60ft times for 4L60e cars with their converters. One was a blower car 1.22 and the other was our nitrous ,sbe, camaro 1.231.

PTC. I tried five different converters until I finally used PTC. They nailed the specific stall I wanted and tightened it up for the top end pull. Went from turning 7800rpm through the lights to 6600rpm. Now I need a gear change.
