Default any issues with this cam and spray?

I had planned on going turbo, and still do, but to hold me over until that time comes I'm thinking about spraying the car with somewhere between a 100 and 200 shot (whatever my nitrous savvy friends can talk me into). The combo is listed below, the trans and converter are specced for turbo stuff so I know they'll be tight enough, main question is the cam.

2000 5.3 stock heads to pan minus cam kit
230/236 114+4 (BTR stage 3 turbo cam)
PTC th400 and tight PTC converter (pushes thru about 2500)
Hi-Ram
Holley 120's
Hp EFI (will control the noids and fueling)
e85
1 3/4 long tubes w/ 3" duals.
8.8 with a 3.73
78 malibu... 3500 w/driver estimated
plan on spraying progressively out of the hole with the HP controlling.

Is the cam going to be good to go and just not be optimal or will it hinder power a bunch?

I would give Martin @ Tick a call. Tell him what your doing and the specs and he can give you a very accurate answer. He may chime in here on the forum also.

Thanks,
Garrett

That cam will be fine for what you want to do. No problem there. The only thing of concern I see is the 2500 stall. Nitrous companies used to not recommend loading an engine on nitrous below 3000 RPM, but on nitrous that 2500 stall may flash to 3000 or above, so you may meet that parameter. Just keep that in mind and you should be fine.

The nitrous will be ran/controlled with the holley efi so I'll be able to control when it comes on and how fast. Good to hear the cam woulnt be an issue. I'm planning on setting a 2 step as high as my brakes will allow then just leaving wide open and bringing the nitrous in as hard as the suspension will allow. Hoping with a 3.73 it woulnt take long to get from a 2stepped 2500rpm to 3k. I'd imagine it wouldn't take more than 5 or 10'.

Hope to find out in a couple months. I'll be going from n/a with a 2.2x gear to 3.73s And at least a 150 shot. I expect good results lol
