Default 175 shot stock ls1

So im getting ready to spray. I have a nitrous outlet plate. Br7 plug. Progressive controller. And a racetronix 255 pump.

Is a 175 shot pretty safe? I will pull 6 degrees out of the timing as well. 91 octane off the rail.

What injectors will you be running?

Where is your N/A timing set at? I would take an additional 2* out.

I'm assuming you're using a 73N jet?

Check out the stock cube list in the sticky. Plenty of guys on a stock bottom end spraying that and then some.

If he's on a wet ket, injectors don't matter.

We have sprayed 200 on a stock LS1. Alot of it is in the tuneup, and if you do some reading around, you will see alot of other people have sprayed alot more than that.

Thanks,
Garrett

As shortdog said, I'd pull some extra timing out to get a baseline. Do you have the hotwire upgrade with the ractronix pump? How much power does the car make on motor?

No hotwire. Just the pump. And it hasn't been on the dyno yet. But a safe guess is about 340 at the wheels.

The 255 will be good to about 550rwhp give or take 10rwhp. I would start with the 150hp shot and see how the car reacts and then decide to go up form there if you wanted to be on the safe side.

Oh right on. I was thinking you were referring to the car in your sig. On a 175 you might be close to the limit on that pump. I'd recommend picking up a fuel pressure safety switch as a little extra insurance.

I did just that years ago. Tunes properly with proper fueling it's fine. Won't last forever but it'll work.

Here is a economical hotwire setup that you can add if you wanted to take care of that just in case scenario.

What's the 255 good to with the hotwire kit? Would a Boost-A-Pump help?

I'm thinking of running a 150 shot on mine... but I'm around 450rwhp and have the 255 with the hotwire kit. Once I go with a forged motor, I'll probably look at 250 at least and will go with a dedicated fuel cell setup.

I ran a cam and 125 shot in a single walbro 255 for the longest. No hotwire kit

With the hotwire and 255 pump combined you'd be good to around 650-680rwhp.

A hotwire kit will be cheaper and easier to install over a boot-a-pump.

I'm glad I did the hotwire kit too. 650+ gives me a little breathing room. That's good!
