Mods in sig... My Block and rotating assembly are bone stock other than the apr studs and fp bearings. I would like to run a small shot of NOS. Just for the cooling properties. And of course that little extra power. I guess what I am saying is do you think the stock block will hold up to what I already have and say a 50 shot of nos. Thanks for your imput.
Also I would like to hear from you guys on weather i shold go wet or dry system. I am guessing a dry system casue its such a small shot. Also who makes one for my car. Thanks
Micah

My buddy Jeff ran a 9.27 with a Vortech blower and a 50 shot of nitrous. Soon after he blew a head gasket, and this was on a Nu-Tek 396 that was built to the gills.
Keep the boost down, and you should be fine though. Might want to atleast be ready to replace a head gasket though.

I only rev her to 6400. I am running around 8psi of boost. I am not worried about the head gaskets cause i studed the heads. Those head gaskets are not going any where.
How much more power will a 50 shot add ?? to a supercharged car ?

It will add more than the rated hp, because of the combined effect of the cooling. Don't know how much for sure though... A 50 shot is typical for a shot used on top of boost.
I'd stay away from a wet kit, just so you're not dumping fuel into a hot (and pressurized) air stream through an intake not designed for fuel...
Dry is easier to plumb anyway.

hey man, you do have a LT1 correct? eather way, your block will be fine. this has been done before and will work really well as long as your pistons and rods like it. those would be the only things to worry about.

yes i have an lt1. I guess the main question is will the pistons and rods hold. I think the only thing saving them right now is the fact that the power is spreed across the rpm range and not some sudden jump. Can you tell me who makes a kit for my car. 1996transam. 50 shot dry...
