He will be fine, as long as the car hasn't had any advance put into it.
A non-projected 6 or 7 plug and he will be good to go.
Many many people have done it.

I think he'll be fine. Sure many opinions out there but back in 02-04 I ran my bone stock, untuned 02 Z28 on a 150 shot every Wed and Sat and never had a problem. This car had alot of nitrous run through it. Probably 8-10 runs per night plus alot of street runs.
I ran TR6 plugs checked/changed them frequently and changed my oil every 1500 miles using Mobil 1.
A local guy has this car and still driving it today with no issues. Over 200k on this car right now and doesn't even smoke.
BUT, pulling a few degrees doesn't hurt. Don't underestimate the stock knock sensors. They do their job well and in milliseconds.

Just for reference, I have sprayed 100-125hp on factory timing with 93 octane in the tank on several occasions, however, I would always prefer to have the car tuned for nitrous. On an aftermarket tune N/A, you will DEFINITELY have to pull out timing, as mentioned above, because timing is advanced past stock.
