I've had a few runs with an untuned (tr6 plugs) 100 shot with no problems. Keep in mind a $300-$400 tune is a hell of a lot cheaper than a short block.

People have done 100hp on stock timing easily. You will definitely need to go to a colder spark plug [ NGK Stock# 3346 ] gapped around 35.

I wouldn't chance it. There is a guy selling a "Timing Tuner" in the classified section for $200.00. That device will allow you to pull a desired amount of timing, and it also acts as a window switch, not to mention a few other functions.

He will be fine, as long as the car hasn't had any advance put into it.
A non-projected 6 or 7 plug and he will be good to go.
Many many people have done it.

To be on the safe side, you should pull some timing to begin with. You can always put it back in if you need to.

I think he'll be fine. Sure many opinions out there but back in 02-04 I ran my bone stock, untuned 02 Z28 on a 150 shot every Wed and Sat and never had a problem. This car had alot of nitrous run through it. Probably 8-10 runs per night plus alot of street runs.

I ran TR6 plugs checked/changed them frequently and changed my oil every 1500 miles using Mobil 1.

A local guy has this car and still driving it today with no issues. Over 200k on this car right now and doesn't even smoke.

BUT, pulling a few degrees doesn't hurt. Don't underestimate the stock knock sensors. They do their job well and in milliseconds.

If it has a frost tune then you definitely want to pull timing...we were referring to spraying a 100 shot on STOCK timing, not 4-5degrees advanced like most tuners would add to a bolt-on or modified engine.

You'll definitely need to pull some timing if it's been tuned. Let us know if you need anything else, we'd be more than happy to help you out!

Anyone can say it will be fine but it's not there engine. OP do it right taking some timing out and can add it if it can take it.

Just for reference, I have sprayed 100-125hp on factory timing with 93 octane in the tank on several occasions, however, I would always prefer to have the car tuned for nitrous. On an aftermarket tune N/A, you will DEFINITELY have to pull out timing, as mentioned above, because timing is advanced past stock.
