Default Normal to have 25-50psi drop?

I have my guage on the line, right past the valve, so when I crack it and close it, I can see the "line" pressure lose 25-50psi and then stop.

So I will crack the valve and close it, and the line pressure will go from 950 to about 925 and stay there.

First thought is a leak, but the fact that it steadies out has me thinking it may be expansion of the line?

Anyone ever seen this?

It is caused by the cold burst from the nitrous which lowers the pressure in the line.

Does it only do it the first time you open the valve? Also, what kind of gauge are you using?

i think it does it every time i open and close the valve.

Ive been turning the valve on and off alot lately to check for leaks. The only one ive found was the purge solenoid, which has since been replaced but it still does it.

If the line in front of the valve isn't pressurized when you open the valve you can expect a slight pressure drop from it having to fill the volume of the empty line. If the line is already pressurized and it drops when you open the valve you may still have a small leak somewhere. If that's the case- use some soapy water in a spray bottle to try and track it down.
