Fuel Pressure Safety Switch (FPSS)

Fuel Pressure Safety Switch (FPSS)
They suck...anybody else have issues with these things. My old Hobbs **** the bed, called Nitrous Outlet and they no longer carry them as "they were having issues", tried a new Edelbrock (Honeywell) and it was no good right out of the box too!). If you "jump" them both the system (NOS mini) powers up and functions as should. I really want to run some type of safety device, but am done having brand new component not function as should. I have seen older post that are saying the same thing..."Throw them in the trash". I have good fuel pressure at 63 idle and 58 full load. Is there any other way to shut down system in case of pressure drop??

We had one on originally when we set everything up but during the dyno and tuning it failed so we removed it. Haven't looked back. Just make sure all of your other systems and components are up to par and operating correctly and forget about it. They're a nice idea in theory but are known not to work so just do without.

This little setup seems pretty cool and can potentially save a motor in the case of a fuel pressure issue. As long as your upper and lower AFR parameters are set up conservatively, I think it would be a better option than a FPSS. Only thing that bothers me is that by the time a wideband see's an out of whack AFR, it has already happened in the motor. Just something to consider.
