id loveeee mine in the glovebox, but since i didn't feel like extending anything, its on the passenger wheel well, upside down, lol. excuse the super dirty bay car was sitting awhile.

Default Wire extension for in vehicle LNC mounting

How much length did you have to add to your harness for your install? Did you extend both sides of the harness or just one?

Cut and splice, IIRC it was around 20 wires. I did it to mine to be able to mount it in the glovebox. No issues. Just take your time, and make sure you mark all of the wires before you cut them.

Is it ok to mount on the battery in a c5Z?

Yes, that should be fine. The battery does not generate electrical noise.
