Default LNC 2000 Mounting

Just curious, where are you guys mounting your LNC 2000 in a f-body? I would like to mount mine in the glovebox, but I don't think the wires are long enough without extending the harness.

Most guys will just end up mounting them under the hood.

You can do it either way, but if it were me, I'd want it in the car. You could also mount it in the center console area.

I can't go anywhere inside of the car without extending the harness, that was my only concern.

In my C5 vette It was just long enough to mount inside the passenger footwell & run the wires from inside up to the coil connectors. No way it would reach up to the glovebox. I have it bolted up on the firewall in the passenger footwell area.

Mine is in the glove box and didn't extend any wires. My car doesn't have Hvac anymore so the wires come out the firewall just behind the Passenger side cyl. head. It's still barely fit, if your car still has Hvac, then you will have to extend wires so it will reach from glove box to engine, or mount it under the hood like most do.

Engine bay side where wires pass through.

Extending them it is. I have removed way too much stuff from the bay to mount the box in plain sight in there.

Thank you, I really tried to hide and tuck as much as possible, while still being easy to use.

What would it take to extend these? WOuld you have to splice wires or do they make any form of 'extension' harness?

Cut and splice, no harness extension for sale. If you got coil wiring harness plug in ends, I'm sure you could build harness extensions.

Cut and splice, IIRC it was around 20 wires. I did it to mine to be able to mount it in the glovebox. No issues. Just take your time, and make sure you mark all of the wires before you cut them.
