Is 5400 to low of a pill to have the spray shut off?

That depends on where your fuel-cut is set.

rev limit is still stock for now at 6200

I would try to find a 5,900 or even a 6,000 pill. All depends on how good you are at driving.

I can shift the car pretty good, but I didn't know if there was a general rule of thumb as to how many rpm before the limiter the spray should cut off.
