Got a 2001 V6 Camaro. I completely gutted it. I'm thinking itll be right around 2900 with me in it.
Building a cheap and fun BIG SHOT of nitrous SBE 5.3 for a fun drag car. I need cam ideas. what I'm doing Below. I'm wanting to hit it with a 200-300 shot.
Gen 4 5.3 (low miles)
243 heads
Vic Jr
4150 TB
4150 Nitrous puck
TH400
4000 ish stall
3.89 gears 9' rear.

I'm sure he will chime in but if you are active in the Texas and SRK section you will assume the 4150 is something he got for a "STEAL" so he is using it.
Mavn, is this the V6 you were going to get rid of? I had the same idea with it but was planning on leaving the head lights and the other "street legal" necessaries. The guy that needed a transmission in his Camaro was going to buy it and I was gonna swap the transmission into his car for the left over she'll. I was going to part it for positive equity and build a complete POS *** hauler.

I would think for a 5.3 to expel a shot that big you will need a lot of exhaust duration in the low to mid lift area. Less so if you have ported 243's. If you are stockish compression, I would try keep the dynamic compression pretty high and make sure the tune is spot on. It's only $25 for one of the pros like Pat G to specify you a cam.

Hi, you may want to investigate MY cast 4250 TBI.
Tested by Steve B. @ Westec, on his flow bench, with flow EQUAL to a 1150 Holley.
The "footprint" is the same bolt pattern as the 4150.
The manifold would need a slight mod at the air inlet opening.
The Air Door has TPS, IAC option, and NOS bosses.
Would you have an interest ?
I need more information about a Cam choice ?
My guess is 252* I 270* E with 116-118 C/L.
I would use our Ti-Valves for the intake.
