From what I've read, the LS1 is good up to a 150 shot on the stock bottom end. Going higher may be pushing it a little.

If you've done all of the routine maintenance on your car, you should be fine. Just make sure that you purchase all the proper safety equipment.

WOT - comes with the kit
MSD Window and pills
FPSS

Optional:
Purge
Warmer
Bottle Opener

Things will add up. Trust me. I got the my kit for $300, but once I purchased all of the accessories. The price tag is $1k

Easily! I sprayed 100 shot all the time on my stock motor. Now its forged and I just use that as a safety net.

Forged motors give you a little more room for error. Im by no means a car expert, so Im learning.

I've got a Ramchargers Timing tuner on order to pull timing while spraying. It's a good rule of thumb to pull a couple of degrees on a 100 shot & the timing tuner has many other features. I think today might be the very last day to get in on the GP. In the group purchase forum.

I pull no timing at 150.

52k miles

I do run a couple of gallons of unleaded 104 on top of 4-5 gallons of 93 just in case.

No KR while on the spray.

FPSS
Window switch
TR6 @ .36
Stock internal '98 F-Body

12.8@105 to 11.6@114 (11.70@116) on the 150.

Interestingly I ran 11.73 on 100 the week before. I think my stock exhaust (manifolds,y,catback) is making the extra 50 next to worthless... Time for headers

I didn't say you had to pull timing, I just said it's a good rule of thumb to. Also where I live in south Mississippi, these 90deg nights with big time humidity can cause KR with no spray. Also the extra octane you run helps a little I'm sure.

I'm sure that more people that spray don't do anything about pulling timing, than the people that do pull timing, but I just don't feel like taking the chance with this car. I have 2 cars that I race and I spray both of them, I can't really afford either of them, so I use every safety system I can to keep the motors together.

I was not at all inferring that it isn't a good idea to pull timing or that no one should. I was merely stating that I do not at this time w/my current set-up.

In certain conditions I would pull timing without hesitation.
