Default n2o limiting factors

stock ls1, minus lid & LT headers. what's the major limiting factor with n2o?

ppl are running 200 shots on stock engines, so what engine parts are stopping me from spraying a 300 shot?

keep in mind i'll be running a th400 w/12bolt so that's not going to be a problem. plz no flames, i'm new to this thanks!

The pistons are the main limiting factor as far as the engine components.

The intake is 1 of them, a 200 shot is going to require direct port injection. Otherwise you'll flood the intake and have a nasty backfire. A 150 wet shot is the max you should run with a wet shot (non direct port).
And as Dave said, 300 shot is really going to stress your pistons. That's 650hp and about 750+tq on a 300 shot. Almost the max of what that engine (pistons) can handle. The crank is good for about 700hp+.

To get there you'll have to do a fuel pump, direct port injection, and retard the timing.

yeh i think i will definitly go the dp route as i would like to spray more eventually...as opposed to the wet that i was originally going to go with.

what about the rods? i'm not planning to rev higher the 6500 ever...maybe even 6200 depending.

what pistons would ya'll recommend?

With a near stock engine you could spray a 275 shot or so all dry. Youd need 42 lbs injectors, intank pump and tuning along with a modded 5177 kit.
