It is usually better to raise the rev limiter 200>300 rpm over your shift points, just in case.

You "may" want to get a window switch and cut the nitrous before the shift point, just to reduce the strain on the tranny. I have a ws but like a dummy was spraying through the shifts here and there and lost my tranny

Get a window switch, it seems the easiest way.

My first kit on my car was a NOS 5177. I put it on the car with 2,000 miles and she worked ok. It ran alittle leaner then I wanted her to so I switched to a wet kit. Just use a window switch and set it about 100-200rpms lower then you would shift. JMO.

No need for window on A4 (Another myth). Like I said above raise your rev limiter but not your shiftpoints. Up to 150 shot you'll be fine.
My tranny has over 50 passes with stall on 140 dry shot. No problemo.

I disagree. No you do not have to have one for the system to work but a 85.00 widow switch is cheaper than a motor rebuild. This is no myth I answer thousands of tech calls a month and have heard every story in the book.It is a simple as this if the tranny slips,or the the computer has a hard time getting the tranny to shift right the window switch will shut off the nitrous before hitting rev limiter. There is no way I would take a stock tranny car and spray it with out a window switch. The price of a window switch is to cheap to play with fire.

If the tranny slips, you shouldn't be shooting nitrous on it, because you'll definately will notice it before you do.
Properly tuned (A word that 80% street nitrous users ignore) the computer will never have a hard time. It's programmed and it executes. The same argument was made by some other poeple who say they would never use dry, because they don't trust their MAF.

All of this is relative to how old is your motor, and how well tuned it is. The same applies to your tranny. Anything over 400 rwtq and even N/A you are playing with fire. Some trannies fair better than others.

Probably wet users should be more consious than dry (Myself). Like Dave says it is not necessary but could be used as added safety.

I opt for not using it on my A4, but I'm getting a FLP Level4 tranny for my H/C swap + juice. And I'll shoot through it too. It is a matter of odds and I lke them on that one.

I have actually seen some cars hesitate on shifting.Thats what I ment by saying the computer having a hard time getting the tranny to shift.Of course this was behind heads and cam cars.

i spray through mine also. but some people want to be safer than others. predator-z and i are just more brave than others. i'll never use a window switch on my autos. on m6 cars i can see a need for it. missed shifts can do bad things.
