Default TR6 Gapping

I didn't even think to gap them before I put them in. Is that going to be a problem you think?

No it should be fine.If it acts up while spraying you may need to gap them. However I know alot of people put them in strait out of the box. However you never know if one was droped or something unless you check them.

Yeah it was my bad, but I was too concerned with other things because I did it during a motor swap. Thanks for the help.

Mine out of the box were .040, so I bumped them down to a .038. Like Dave said, if your not getting any detonation, you should be ok.

I gapped my TR-6's at .040, and I noticed that below 600 RPM there is an occasional misfire, particularly when cold (my idle was at 500 RPM). With the stock plugs this didnt happen. I reset the idle to 625 and the problem has gone away.

Of course most poeple dont set their idle lower than stock so this doesnt apply to most.
