Default Jimmy Jams ?

Those of you who have the JJ switch panel. Is it suppose to just float around in the ashtray or is it suppose to pop in and stay. Mine doesn't fit tight but before I called him I figured I would check with you guys. Thanks for your help. It is in the car in sig.

mine didnt sit tight either as well.. It would get snug..but come loose after i pushed the buttons on and off a few times. What i did..was pushed it to the point where it sat nice and flush..so i could put the ashtray cover down..then i hotglued it from underneath. Seeing as how hot glue wont melt or ruin the plastic..and it comes off easily once you start peeling it away.. no problems yet.

mine fits nice and snug...after i cut out the plastic bracket that the ashtray light sits in, the upper right switch wires stopped causing the plate to pop out
