on a NOS bottle the damn valve is stuck. wont budge even when i took the **** off and used a wrench. one problem is i dont know if it is open or closed because a friend was messing with it. can i take the valve apart and if so after you take the **** off is the nut that holds the assembly in standard or reverse thread?

its probably open I have seen this b4 you need to try and close it. At this point you have over opened it.
