Default How much rwhp through 36lb injectors?

Just curious how much rwhp a 36lb injector can handle. I have a 422 that should be putting down around 500hp and I'd like to throw a 75 or 100 dry shot on top of it but want to make sure my injectors are up to the task.

Those injectors are too small. I'm running 40lb/hr and I put down 477rwhp and the duty cycle was up to 92%.

You'll need at least 48lb/hr.

I thought MTI only used 30lb injectors on all their strokers?

Something doesn't sound right there. I've run 42 lbers up to 660rwhp. That would be considered the max though.

I see you have an earlier model truck, which uses 43 psi. I assume we're talking 60 to 65 psi here.

Im running 38# on mine at 484 rwhp and Im not going lean or anything. Dont know the duty cycle though. I would think that 600 rwhp on 36# injectors might be pushing it a little though.

Mine is a little 346 with 412+ rwhp N/A; 600+rwhp on a 200 shot. I use the SVO 30# (36# for us). No problems, never run lean yet. I do have an aftermarket fuel pump to run them.

Are you running a wet or dry 200 shot? My fuel pump and lines should be good to at least 800hp.

At your projected 600hp you'll need a min 46.9 injector at 80% duty cycle. If your interested in the math I'll give the equation and process to figure any HP=injector at 80%. Foxspy was correct, you can use smaller but you'll be static and that wears out injectors more quickly.
