Do I need it during summer time in Califorina. And how much of a role does it play in preformance. Im short on cash and I dont wanna buy it just yet if I dont have to, maybe I will wait untill winter time. Thanks

Nitrous systems are designed to provide maximum performance at a certain pressure. If you're below or above that pressure, you won't get the best performance from your kit, and you could potentially damage your engine.

While it isn't absolutely necessary, a bottle heater should be high atop your list of important accessories.

I think especially on a wet kit you want pressure
consistency because pressure is your oxidizer mass
flow but you're jet tuned with no adaptation. Dry
shot of low amount, the MAF will figure it out more
or less.

Some form of maintaing bottle pressure is mandatory but there are other ways of maintaining bottle pressure other than a heater pad. You want to keep the pressure right around 900 PSI. The most efficient method I've seen is to bring the pressure up slowly and then keep it there by using a bottle jacket which will keep it constant even while waiting in the staging lanes or between rounds.

As has been stated previously in this thread, a bottle warmer is a requirement in a wet kit, as is a pressure guage.

If you have a dry kit, I'd wait for winter to get your bottle warmer, if the money is an issue.
