Cop and N20
For any1 has their tank in the back seat mount! If you get pull over by the cops can they give you a ticket for a visable Nitrous system?

Not unless nitrous on a vehicle is illegal in your state/town. If your asking because it is a hazardus material, the quanity is to small to even think about being hazardus. I've had this conversasion with police before. If you really want to make them mad, wip out your CDL w/ hazmat certifacation and have your nice yellow nitrous placard on the side of your car. That really pisses them off, even though you don't need it.

Colorado cops are more on racing period and DUI's. So really even if you get caught street racing you car is impounded or you get a 20 point ticket. Got 10 already.......track for me!

Well I made the mistake once by telling the cop that it was a fire extinguisher after I just raced another mustang.. He said are you planning on having a fire, and I told him you can never be too careful.. He agreed and wrote me 2 more misc tickets 4 being a smartass lol ..

Typically, the only way they can say anything is if the bottle is hooked up to the feed line. If you're that worried, just get a cheap gym bay large enough to fit around the bottle and cut the bottom out.

I had a cop who was gonna write me a ticket for having the bottle in the car once (hooked up) but he got a call for an emergency thank god. He was about to write me 5 tickets + 1 for the bottle.

I got a ticket for nitrous about 6 months ago here in VA. The actual violation as written on the summons was "nitrous oxide fed motor". I got it when I was pulled over for an HOV violation and didn't have my flap in the back up to cover the tank (even though it has a bottle heater I like the sun beating on it too ) Anyways, I went to the court date and the judge had no idea what nitrous was so he through it out After trying to figure it out he completely forgot about the HOV violation and it got thrown out too Not even court costs. So, if you get pulled over for nitrous make sure you show up at court. Most likely the judge will be 75+ years old and have no idea what it is.

Isnt a dry system more legal than a wet system since the wet system involves fuel ?
btw just wondering if you get caught with it in another state can that give you a big ticket for carrying it over state lines? I know someone who got a ticket because he had helium lol...
