Default Highest CR on forged 383, 200-300 DP

whats the highest compression ratio for a forged 383 that would run a 200-300 DP shot....

im basically wanting a N/A motor for the street and bracket racing but when the **** hits the fan and one of my buddies (who sprays) wants to race id like to wax his *** hard... lol

what are my options or what should i do?

i would say stay in the 11's other wise u'll be pulling so much timing that the highr cr wont help at all, but iam not all that knowledgable in nitrous.

It really depends on what type of gas you plan on running. Nitrous likes compression, but be prepared to run racegas

around 11.5:1 is playing it safe...with a really good tune I could see running upwards of 12.5:1

I run 13:1 with a DP 200 shot. I use 100 octane all the time, and pull 4 degrees retard for now. Seems to be doing well.

I am doing my 383 to 11.5 CR with my new head setup and do a 200 shot (may be going 250 shot this year)....I took out 2 degrees with 93 octane and a bottle of Torco additive.
